Currently racing for the Fazzt Race Team as part of Indy Car, Alex Tagliani is the driver of the Bowers & Wilkins 77 machine. In 2009, he was named the Chase Rookie of the Year in Indianapolis and in 2010, he qualified 5th for the biggest race in the world. Montreal native Tagliani has shown his fans that he can drive anything – from Indy Car to Nascar. Trilingual and well spoken, Tagliani offers his audience a unique look at his impressive career and the professional racing industry.

Popularly known for his remarkable champ car-racing career, Tagliani joined Team Players Forsyth for its successful debut season in 2000. His popularity continued as he joined Team Australia resulting in a number of impressive finishes for the team. In 2008, Tagliani won at the Historical Road America racetrack, achieved fourteen Podium and five Pole Positions, and won his first NASCAR race in July 2008 at the Edmonton 100.  In 2009, Tagliani claimed the Chase award by becoming the Indianapolis 500 Rookie of the year.

First stepping into competitive Go-Kart in 1987, Tagliani made his way into Champ Car racing in 2000, after a number of successful campaigns in the Atlantic Championship. The 2002 season saw him lead a career-high 115 laps, finishing 15 events with three top five finishes and two podium finishes.

In 2003, Tagliani joined the newly formed Rocketsport racing team and helped the inexperienced team to achieve ten top-10 finishes. He also set on the pole twice, once in Milwaukee, and then again in his hometown of Montreal. In his second year with Rocketsport, Tagliani won in Road America and was placed in the top three in the championship for the majority of the season. Unfortunately, he finished the 2004 season in seventh place after heart breaking mechanical failures in the final races of the season.

In 2009, Alex raced a limited schedule with Conquest Racing, starting six events for the team and compiling three top-10 finishes. He received Rookie of the Year honours at the Indianapolis 500 after starting 33rd.  The year of 2010 marks the beginning of a five-year contract for Tagliani and his partners Andre Azzi, Jim Freudenberg and Jason Priestley who have formed the FAZZT Race Team.

The experienced and talented ‘Tag’ is known for his consistency as a driver, his speed in qualifying, and his technical ability on car setup.
